Susan L. invited me to go to Dallas Sunday to go to the Opera and see Die Fledermaus. It was a delightful getaway.
I had plenty to do without going during these busy holidays but I went anyway. We had a girls day out left early and came back late. The opera was delightful, funny and easy to understand. The voices were lovely, the costumes looked rich and colorful. And of course, people watching is always fun at a matinee in Dallas. The opera is in the music hall at Fair Park , an older theatre in Dallas. A new one is being built and should be open for the new season next year.
Sometimes it is just great to get away for a minute.
And now, the push is on to get the word out about our open house this Fri night and Saturday day.
